Oct 2023 Lunar Eclipse- Maximum Eclipse/Saros 146

This is the chart of the deepest moment: greatest eclipse, the exact peak of the partial lunar eclipse of 28 October 2023, when Earth's shadow bites furthest into the full Moon. It belongs to Saros series 146 and is cast for Re'im in Israel. If the beginning was the shadow arriving and the ending its release, this is the still point at the bottom of the descent, the fulcrum on which the whole event turns.

At maximum the Sun sits in Scorpio, the sign of death and rebirth and all that moves beneath the surface, planted in the fourth house of home, homeland and roots, the very foundation of the chart. Directly opposite, the eclipsed Moon rides exalted in Taurus, the sky's steadiest and most grounded light, yet raised to the tenth house, the throne where the whole world watches. A Cancer Ascendant wraps the peak in the archetype of the crab and the matriarch, the fierce instinct to shelter the nest. This is the signature of a threshold: a homeland Sun eclipsed against a public Moon, security and shadow meeting at their most extreme, the moment held its longest before the light begins, slowly, to return.
