Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj shines like a whole travelling university on legs, and that is pure Sagittarius Sun, the Jupiter-ruled explorer born to radiate through language, big-picture wisdom and jovial, unmissable charisma. She placed that solar fire in the tenth house, the very noon of the chart, the throne at the top where fame is almost a birthright, and she duly climbed it: from her Trinidadian roots and three early mixtapes to Pink Friday topping the Billboard 200, then Super Bass, Anaconda and a run of records that crowned her the Queen of Rap. Yet beneath the Jupiterian dazzle sits a Virgo Moon in the eighth house, and this is the surprising engine room: an emotional self that finds peace through meticulous craft, endless detail and self-editing, plunged into the house of death, rebirth and the phoenix. Her animated flow, alter egos and accents are that Virgo perfectionism married to eighth-house intensity, transformation worn as performance. Her Aquarius Ascendant is the alien-avatar mask, the black sheep among black sheep who turns not-fitting-in into a trademark of pink wigs and future fashion. Sage, survivor and shape-shifter, she made strangeness sovereign.
