Werner Heisenberg

Werner Heisenberg was a mind built to wander the far country of ideas, and few ever wandered further. His Sun sits in Sagittarius, the Jupiter-ruled philosopher-explorer, the walking mobile university who looks at everything from the top down and cannot resist the biggest question in the room. That is exactly the temperament that, in 1925, cracked open a new physics: his breakthrough paper, elaborated with Max Born and Pascual Jordan into the matrix formulation, and then in 1927 the uncertainty principle that bears his name and remade our picture of reality. The 1932 Nobel Prize followed, honouring the creation of quantum mechanics itself.

That Sagittarian Sun falls in the sixth house of work, service and daily craft, the Lion King of duty, and it shows: a lifelong labourer over turbulence, the atomic nucleus, ferromagnetism, cosmic rays. His Moon in Libra gave a Venusian instinct for balance and elegant symmetry, a psyche forever weighing the scales. Gemini rising, the quicksilver messenger, was the mercurial mask he wore, curious as Curious George, carrying ideas from one hand to another. He shone brightest where certainty itself dissolved.
