Beyond Zodiac Signs: Unraveling the Cosmic Complexity of Relationships
Unlocking the Mysteries of Astrology for Deeper Relationship Insights
After years of practicing astrology, including compatibility analysis, I am perplexed to see people choose to date others or end relationships based simply on Zodiac signs. Our Zodiac sign is essentially another way of describing our Sun sign, only one attribute of the many aspects of an astrological reading based on positioning of multiple celestial bodies at birth. Your Sun sign represents several important attributes, including very importantly, your relationships with your father and other authority figures. To make a decision about your relationship with another person derived from a single astrological attribute, your relationship with your father or others in authority (i.e your Zodiac sign), is certainly not helpful. Even considering other archetypes represented by our Sun sign in our judgment scale for who may be suited to capture our heart or good enough for our Valentine's date, we quickly realise that we are wasting precious time and even worse, opportunities. In addition, such decisions would not capture the value of a broader astrological analysis that is correlated with the positioning of multiple celestial bodies and the breadth of human complexity. Only with deeper comprehensive analysis do we bring the strengths of astrology to inform the variety of human relationships and the many ways people can build partnerships with one another.
I like to think of our astrological birth chart as a beautiful kaleidoscopic picture of our unique QR code. It is our unique “Cosmic Program”. Astrology is a sophisticated mathematical language that incorporates classical astronomy, metaphysics, mythology and detailed observations of human archetypes correlated to these factors over thousands of years. Our birth chart is statistically correlated with different human attributes or archetypes. Our forebears have used this decoding tool for thousands of years to access our Cosmic script, or Cosmic Program, assess our ‘karmic scores’, to understand our psyche and what actions we might take to learn karmic lessons and master areas in which each of us has lessons to learn. Relationship lessons are often among the hardest of our lessons and at the minimum, we should do ourselves a favour and approach this matter in the most productive way possible.
Let's assume we decided to ignore that Capricorn date as a Sagittarius and instead, we opted for the Aries. What if we had perfectly compatible mars and venus configuration with the Capricorn person, which in the matters of the heart, serves us far better than our Sun sign placement? This even becomes more tragic if our Sun sign compatibility is virtually the main one with the Aries person. Unless you want to hire or work with or for the Aries person, there is no guarantee that the relationship is harmonic and compatible.
Going by ancient texts, every person in this life creates a chapter within our book of life. We each come into this life for a reason. Every person you develop a relationship with, for better or for worse, is part of a lesson for us. We were meant to experience and open some chapters while closing others. Astrology helps us understand the ‘right’ lessons for us to take away from these interactions. I urge you to act in your relationships based on self-knowledge. Beyond seeking a simple and, as explained above, a simplistic Zodiac compatibility analysis, explore a proper astrological reading. Explore your relationship lessons and what pitfalls you want to avoid. It is also useful, aside from natal analysis of your birth archetype, to explore at any time your current celestial transits, as well as the transits in the next few years when you need to be especially alert to malefic configurations that may correlate with unusually stressful period on an otherwise successful relationship or perhaps, make your more vulnerable to fall victim to false love.
