Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie wears the crab's shell, her Cancer Ascendant giving her that round lunar face and those watery, luminous eyes, the mask of the matriarch who was born to mother and be mothered. It is the perfect avatar for a woman who is one of the world's great actresses and, just as fiercely, one of its most devoted humanitarians. Her Sun shines in Gemini, my sign of between, the eternal twin, the communicator: two persons in one who can move fluidly from Lara Croft action heroine to the raw grief of Changeling. Fittingly, that Sun sits in the eleventh house, the house of tribe and cause, where the hero is born to lead movements and rally a network. So she has, championing refugees across Cambodia, Syria, Sudan and beyond as a UN Special Envoy.
