Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen built a whole mythology out of ordinary working lives, and there is real poetry in the fact that both his lights sit in Libra, the sign of the scales, of fairness and beauty and everyone getting a fair go. His Sun in Libra shines by seeing two sides of every coin, aiming its radiance at justice rather than at self; that is the socially conscious lyricist who writes for the factory worker and the veteran alike. His Moon in Libra, a beautiful, Venusian Moon, finds peace through harmony and carries an in-built radar for beauty, which is why the songs land so tenderly even when they ache.

Born on the twenty-third of September, 1949, this Jersey Shore son became The Boss, releasing his breakthrough Born to Run in 1975 and the era-defining Born in the U.S.A. in 1984. Both Sun and Moon nest in the fifth house, the house of the Sun itself, where creativity, romance and pure performance become the whole reason to exist; hence those famous four-hour shows that pour out like there is no tomorrow.
