Malaysian Airlines Flight 370

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is not a person but an event, and one of the great open wounds of modern aviation. On 8 March 2014 a Boeing 777 left Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew aboard. Some 38 minutes after takeoff it fell silent, turned west off its planned path, and vanished. No survivors, no wreck site, only scattered debris on distant shores and the most expensive search in aviation history, still unresolved. A chart cast for a moment cannot explain a machine's failure or a human choice; it only reflects the moment's texture, and here the disclaimer matters: this is the departure chart, not the accident chart we cannot cast.
