Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler carries the intense, magnetic charge of a Scorpio Sun, the Eagle and the Phoenix, the man who shines through transformation and rising again from the ashes. Fittingly, his early avatars kept dying and reviving: he played Dracula in Dracula 2000, Attila the Hun, the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, before the roar of King Leonidas in 300 gave him worldwide fame. Born in Scotland in 1969, he trained as a lawyer before turning to acting in the mid-nineties with small parts in Mrs Brown and Tomorrow Never Dies. That Scorpio Sun sits in the second house, the Lion King of resources, so identity and pride are built on solid foundations and provider strength, the rock of the family. His Moon in Capricorn is the stoic, unspoiled soul who grew up fast, dutiful and resilient under a Saturnian sky; placed in the third house it is an exalted, prized Moon that pours emotion into words and craft, storytelling and voice, which suits the warm gravel of Stoick the Vast in How to Train Your Dragon. A Libra Ascendant lends the balanced, charming, unmistakably watchable mask. A survivor's fire beneath a diplomat's poise.
