Gina Lollobrigida

Gina Lollobrigida was one of the great luminous faces of European cinema, an international sex symbol through the 1950s and 60s and among the last stars of Hollywood's Golden Age still walking the earth into our own century. Yet the woman behind the glamour was, in her chart, a nurturer to her core. Her Sun shone in Cancer, the sign of the mother, so she was here to shine as a mother-figure regardless of the screen goddess role: a big-hearted, guarded crab with a soft, deeply feeling heart tucked inside a beautiful shell. That Sun falls in her second house, the Lion King of resources, and money truly came to her; at her death her fortune was estimated at over two hundred million dollars, and she gave freely, once selling her jewels to donate nearly five million to stem-cell research.
