Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis carried a Leo Sun at full strength, the lion at the centre of its own solar system, and she placed that regal light in the ninth house of learning, culture and global horizons. So she was born to shine as a kind of philosopher-ambassador: a Vassar and George Washington graduate in French literature, fluent in languages and history, who turned the restoration of the White House and the championing of the arts into statecraft. When she entered a room, it was hard not to notice her, and the world made her an icon of style, naming her Time's Woman of the Year at thirty-one.

Her Moon sat in Aries in the fifth house, the house of children, creativity and love: a masculine, Martian Moon fused to everything she made and adored, so her deepest peace and her fiercest mama-bear courage lived through her family and her creations. After the assassination in 1963, then her marriage to Aristotle Onassis and his death, she rebuilt herself as a book editor in New York.
