Ibn Arabi

Ibn Arabi was among the greatest mystics the world has ever known, a soul his followers called Muhyiddin, the Reviver of Religion, and later Shaykh al-Akbar, the Greatest Master. Born in Murcia in Al-Andalus in 1165 into a noble Arab family, he grew into a Sufi visionary whose cosmology reshaped Islamic thought for centuries. From his hand flowed hundreds of works, and above them all rose his doctrine of wahdat al-wujud, the Unity of Being: the radiant idea that everything in existence is a manifestation of a single Absolute Reality.

His Sun shines in Leo, the Sun in its own domicile, blazing at full strength. Leo is the lion-king, the soul at the centre of its own solar system, and Ibn Arabi carried exactly that luminous authority, becoming a saint in the eyes of whole communities, the sun others still orbit.

Yet the fire of that Sun was married to the ocean of a Pisces Moon, the moon of mystics and poets, the ultimate empath receiving downloads from the universe with divine-level imagination. This is the sponge tuned to the realm of the spirit and the source. In him, Leo's blazing certainty and Pisces' dissolving surrender fused into a single vision: that the lover and the Beloved, the drop and the sea, were never truly two.
