Jason Statham

Jason Statham has the kind of presence that fills a room before he says a word, and that is the gift of a Leo Sun in its own domicile, the lion-king shining at full strength. Leo is the born performer, the magnetic centre everyone orbits, and it fuels a career built almost single-handedly on being watchable: the tough, gritty, unflinching action hero who led the resurgence of the whole genre through the 2000s and 2010s. From his early diving days on Britain's national team and the 1990 Commonwealth Games, to modelling, to Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, to the Transporter trilogy, Crank, The Expendables and the Fast & Furious films, he became one of the most bankable stars in the business. That is Leo turning charisma into a brand. Yet beneath the armour runs a Pisces Moon, the sponge, the empath, the most watery and imaginative of luminaries. It softens the granite: the quiet emotional undertow, the intuition, the surprising tenderness that keeps his hard men from ever feeling merely mechanical. A blazing solar king with a mystic's private inner sea, that is the strange and durable magic of Jason Statham.
