Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando hit the screen like a pioneer among pioneers, and that is the signature of a man born with both his Sun and his Moon in Aries, the warrior sign, the first flame of the zodiac. This is a double leader, a self-starter who never backed down: he dragged the Stanislavski method into the American mainstream and rewrote what acting could be. As Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, then Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront, which won him his first Academy Award, he burned with a raw, masculine, Martian force that felt like something never seen before. After a decade of misfires he returned as Vito Corleone in The Godfather (1972), a performance held among the finest ever given, and won a second Oscar. Both luminaries fall in his fourth house, the very floor of the chart, the realm of home, mother and lineage, where the heart glows brightest and where the Moon is happiest of all. So his fire was always rooted in family soil, his private life as intense as his public one. Sagittarius rose as his mask: the larger-than-life explorer-philosopher, jovial, restless, freedom-loving, forever chasing a bigger horizon.
