Matt Damon

Matt Damon shines with a Libra Sun, my love: the hero placed in Venus's Scale, born to be the fair judge, the charming diplomat, the one whose lens sees balance and symmetry where others miss it. It is no accident that his defining triumph, the Good Will Hunting screenplay he wrote with Ben Affleck in 1997, is a story built on empathy, and that his co-founded companies and charitable work with Water.org all turn on giving everyone a fair go. His Sun sits in the 8th house, the Scorpionic realm of death, rebirth and buried things, so he is the phoenix and the survivor: think of Jason Bourne resurrected from amnesia, or the astronaut clawing back to life in The Martian (2015).

His Moon is in Capricorn, the tender Moon in cold Saturnian soil, the unspoiled child grown up early into stoic, dutiful strength. Placed in the 12th house, that emotion dissolves into the collective unconscious; his feelings run deep and hidden, an empath who guards his inner sea and pours it, quietly, into the work.

With Aquarius rising, he meets the world as the quirky individualist within the tribe. Across a $3.88 billion body of work and an Academy Award, Damon keeps beating to his own drum.
