Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep carries a Cancer Sun, and this is a very emotional Sun, one that shines by nurturing, feeling, and pouring the whole heart into whatever it protects. Often called the finest actress of her generation, she has turned that oceanic empathy into a craft of pure feeling across five decades, from her film debut in Julia in 1977 to her record-breaking twenty-one Academy Award nominations. Her Sun sits in the eleventh house of the tribe and network, the hero at home among the wider human circle, which suits an artist who has become a shared cultural treasure.

Her Moon in Taurus is the Moon exalted, at its healthiest and most peaceful, an earthy Venusian luminary that finds security in steady devotion and savours the senses. Many Oscar recipients carry lunar charts, Gaia notes, and this one sits in the tenth house, the throne of the chart, so her feeling life is lived in full public view. That is the well she drew from for Sophie's Choice, Kramer vs. Kramer and The Iron Lady, all three crowned with Oscars.

Her Leo Ascendant lends the regal, magnetic mask of a performer people cannot look away from.
