City of Prague

Prague is a city that seems to have grown out of stone and memory in equal measure, the golden capital on the Vltava where Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque stand shoulder to shoulder. Seat of the Kings of Bohemia, home to Holy Roman Emperors like Charles IV and Rudolf II, cradle of Charles University, the oldest in central Europe, it wears its thousand years lightly. Its chart reads like the city itself. A Taurus Sun is the perfect signature for a place built to last: the foundational, earthy, Venusian pillar, the connoisseur of beauty and value, stubborn enough to keep its old towers standing through every century that tried to tear them down. That Sun sits in the eighth house of death and rebirth, and how fitting for a city that survived Reformation, the Thirty Years War, two world wars and communism, and rose each time like the phoenix.

Its Moon in Aries in the seventh house gives a fierce, driven heart that has always defined itself through struggle and through partnership with the wider world. A Virgo Ascendant lends the meticulous, elegant mask, the astronomical clock ticking in the Old Town Square. Beauty, endurance and rebirth: Prague shines by outlasting.
