Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II was the very picture of endurance, and her chart is founded on that same immovable rock. Her Sun shone in Taurus, the bull, the earthy Venusian pillar of steadiness, patience and old-school values, the placement of one who holds a solid foundation while the world churns. Born in Mayfair in 1926, she became heir presumptive at ten when her uncle abdicated, and from her accession in 1952 she reigned for seventy years and 214 days, the longest of any British monarch, a constant through decolonisation, the Cold War, Brexit and more than 170 prime ministers. That Taurus Sun falls in her second house of wealth, values and inheritance, fitting for a sovereign who was the very rock of an institution built on lineage, crown jewels and quality that endures. Her Moon in Leo made her king and queen at once, the born performer with the great open heart and the regal presence, and placed in her seventh house of partnership it speaks of a psyche entwined with another: her 73-year marriage to Philip. Rising in Capricorn, she met the world as the stoic old soul, the patient boss who waited and outlasted, duty personified until her death at Balmoral in 2022.
