Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone built his whole career on the beautiful contradiction at the heart of his chart: the toughest body in Hollywood wrapped around one of its softest hearts. Behind the granite jaw of Rocky Balboa and John Rambo sits a Cancer Sun, the father shining through the sign of the mother, the crab who guards a squishy, deeply emotional inner self behind a hard shell. That is the underdog's tenderness that made Rocky, the film he wrote himself as a struggling unknown in 1976, resonate around the world, earning him Oscar nominations for both acting and screenwriting and, forty years later, a Golden Globe for Creed.

His Cancer Sun falls in the seventh house of partnership, where identity shines through the other: think of Rocky completed by Apollo, by Mickey, by the fighters he mentors. His Moon in Libra, the beautiful Venusian moon, sits on the tenth-house throne, feelings lived out in full public view, which is why the crowd feels every blow he takes. Sagittarius rises, the larger-than-life explorer's mask. He is the only actor to top the box office across six consecutive decades, and beneath all that armour, he simply let the world feel with him.
