Alexander Pushkin

Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, born on 6 June 1799 in Moscow, carries the essence of Gemini with his Sun, showcasing curiosity and versatility. As a poet, playwright and novelist of the Romantic era, he is widely regarded as the greatest Russian poet and the architect of modern Russian literature. The Moon in Cancer adds a layer of emotional depth, reflecting his rich inner world and ability to connect with the human experience.

Born into the Russian nobility, Pushkin's lineage includes a notable ancestor, Abram Petrovich Gannibal, a military general of African origin. His literary journey began early, with his first poem published at just 15. He garnered attention from the literary community upon graduating from the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where he recited the controversial "Ode to Liberty," resulting in exile by Emperor Alexander I.

During his time under strict surveillance, Pushkin penned his renowned play, Boris Godunov, and his magnum opus, the novel in verse Eugene Onegin, which was serialized from 1825 to 1832. His work remains a profound influence, echoing the complexity of both his mind and heart.
