Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is not merely an actor; he is an institution, the Shahenshah of Bollywood, once described as a one-man industry. His Sun sits in Libra, Venus's sign of the scale, the archetype of the mediator who shines through balance, symmetry and beauty. Born in Allahabad in 1942 to a great Hindi poet and a social-activist mother, he carried that Libran eye for grace into over two hundred films across five decades. Yet his Sun falls in the eighth house of death and rebirth, the phoenix realm, which explains the man perfectly: cast as India's angry young man in Deewaar and Sholay, nearly killed on the set of Coolie, financially and professionally ruined in the 1990s, then reborn again and again, most gloriously with Mohabbatein in 2000.
