Andrew D. Huberman

Andrew D. Huberman, born in 1975, is an American neuroscientist and podcaster who became one of the most listened-to voices in popular science. An associate professor of neurobiology at Stanford, he earned his degrees across the University of California system, a BA from Santa Barbara, an MA from Berkeley and a PhD from Davis, before postdoctoral work at Stanford in Ben Barres's lab. In 2021 he launched the Huberman Lab podcast, hours-long deep dives into research on sleep, stress, cortisol and the brain, and by 2023 it ranked among the most popular shows in the country, alongside millions of followers and, more contentiously, a supplements partnership and criticism from fellow scientists for reaching past the evidence.
