Boeing

Boeing was born in Seattle on 15 July 1916, and even a company has a birth chart, a temperament written into the moment it came into being. Its Sun sits in Cancer, the sign of the mother, the crab and its shell, and there is something fitting in that: this is an enterprise built to shelter and carry, to enclose people safely and bear them across the sky and beyond. Cancer shines by protecting, and Boeing grew from William Boeing's first seaplane into a maker of airliners, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites and missiles, a great shell wrapped around the fragile business of flight. It became the largest exporter in the United States by dollar value and a pillar of American industry.
