Jeremy Irons

Jeremy Irons is a craftsman of a very particular kind: an actor who shines not by chasing the limelight but by doing the work perfectly, out of something close to principle. That is the Virgo Sun in him, the vitality of the star channelled into service and precision, a jack of all arts and, unlike lighter minds, a master of them all. Classically trained at the Bristol Old Vic, he built his name on the stage from 1969, moving through Shakespeare and, in 1984, to Broadway, where The Real Thing won him a Tony. Then came the screen: The French Lieutenant's Woman, Brideshead Revisited, the silky menace of Scar in The Lion King, and Claus von Bulow in Reversal of Fortune, which brought him the Oscar and, with his Emmy and Tony, the rare Triple Crown.

Beneath the cool, exacting surface runs an Aries Moon, martian and brave, a soul at peace only when it acts, leads, dares. His Leo Ascendant lends the regal presence and signature mane of a man rooms turn toward. Later a UN Goodwill Ambassador, he carries that lion's torch outward, for the Earth itself.
