Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock wore two crowns of the lion. His Sun sits in Leo in the first house, the star at its most uncensored, the sun god who shines simply by being himself, and his Leo Ascendant gave him a matching mask: a regal, unmistakable presence who became as famous as any of his actors. That is the whole secret of a man who put his silhouette in his own trailers, made a cameo in nearly every film, and hosted his own television anthology. He was the show. Trained first as a clerk and title-card designer, he became the Master of Suspense across six decades and more than fifty features, from The Lodger and The 39 Steps to Rebecca, Rear Window, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho and The Birds. But the true engine of his art was his Moon in Scorpio in the fourth house: the emotional volcano beneath a calm exterior, the born psychologist who read fear, obsession and buried dread better than anyone alive. Placed at the base of the chart, in the realm of home and the deep past, it fed a psyche that turned dread into cinema. A regal showman above, a Plutonic tide below: the Master of Suspense in one chart.
