Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck carries a Leo Sun in its own domicile, the lion-king at full strength, the born celebrity whom a room turns to notice even in his jammies. But this Sun does not simply sit on a throne; it lands in the third house of self-effort, words and hands, the mercurial arena of the go-getter who writes, makes and does. That is his whole story. With childhood friend Matt Damon he wrote himself into stardom, sharing the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997), then proving he could build worlds behind the camera too, directing The Town and winning Best Picture for Argo (2012). Add Batman, Gone Girl and a second Oscar, and you see a lion who insisted on shining through what he creates.

Beneath the golden exterior runs a Scorpio Moon, my emotional volcano, the phoenix who dies and is reborn again and again, taking every feeling to its extreme. Seated in the fifth house of creativity and love, his peace of mind is fused to what he makes and whom he loves; his work is his baby. And his Cancer Ascendant, the crab's shell, guards a soft and watery core behind the confident mask. A radiant Sun, a phoenix heart, forever building and rebuilding.
