Joshua Wong

Joshua Wong carries a rare double signature: both his Sun and his Moon sit in Libra, the sign of the Scale, so his whole nature bends toward fairness, balance and the fair chance for everyone. The Sun is the hero, and in Libra that hero shines by seeking justice, by being the mediator who insists that things be weighed evenly. This is a soul born with an in-built radar for what is fair and what is not, and the courage to say so out loud. He first raised that voice as a teenager, co-founding Scholarism in 2011 to oppose a curriculum many saw as pro-Beijing propaganda, and winning. By 2014 he was a face of the Umbrella Movement, galvanising thousands in the call for genuine universal suffrage.

With the Moon also in Libra, his emotional peace is likewise found through harmony and the golden rule, a psyche that cannot rest while the scales are tipped. TIME named him among the world's most influential teens; a Nobel Peace Prize nomination followed in 2017. Libra can fence-sit, but Joshua chose the harder Libran path: to keep confronting injustice, through prison sentences and disqualification, refusing to sell his conscience for a quiet peace.
