Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy is a craftsman who disappears into the work, and that is pure Virgo Sun. Born Edward Thomas Hardy in London in 1977, he trained at the Drama Centre and built a reputation not by chasing the limelight but by doing the job perfectly, transforming his body and voice for each role out of something close to principle. Watch him become the prisoner Bronson, the cage fighter of Warrior, both Kray twins in Legend, Mad Max, or the grunting menace of Bane, and you see the Virgo love of mastery: a jack of all crafts and, unlike a dabbler, a master of all. He shines by being useful, by finishing what he starts, by being seen doing a thing flawlessly. His Libra Moon is the counterweight, a beautiful, Venusian emotional nature that seeks harmony and finds real peace in fairness and connection; it softens the perfectionist and shows up in his devotion to family and his charity work as an ambassador for the Prince's Trust. His performances in Inception, The Revenant, and Peaky Blinders carry that blend: exacting discipline warmed by an instinct for balance. He was appointed CBE in 2018, a fitting nod to a quietly exacting artist.
