William E. Boeing

William E. Boeing built one of the great industrial names of the modern world, and his Libra Sun tells you how: not through raw ego but through partnership, symmetry and the eye for balance. Libra is Venus's sign of the Scale, and Boeing shone as the deal-maker and organiser, the man who could weigh two sides, forge alliances and see beauty in the clean geometry of a flying machine. His first design, the B & W Seaplane, took to the air in June 1916, a month before he founded the company that would carry his name. He later helped assemble the United Aircraft and Transport Corporation, the ancestor of United Airlines, and chaired it, a Libran instinct for combining and mediating writ large.

His Capricorn Moon is the Saturnian engine beneath that charm: the emotionally disciplined, dutiful, patient nature of one who grew up serious and built things to last. It is the moon of the long game, of endurance over indulgence, and it steadied the enterprise through its earliest, riskiest years. Honoured with the Guggenheim Medal in 1934 and the Aviation Hall of Fame in 1966, Boeing left a legacy engineered, like his character, for the long haul.
