Bill Maher

Bill Maher is one of those rare voices born to shine among the tribe rather than on a solitary throne. His Sun sits in Aquarius, the eleventh sign, the humanitarian visionary who thinks outside the box and, as I like to say, loves humanity even while he's exasperated by humans. That Aquarian current is exactly the fuel of a career built on political satire, on skewering religion and political correctness and the mass media alike. From Politically Incorrect through the long life of Real Time with Bill Maher, and later the Club Random podcast, he shines by provoking the collective to think, the fringe thinker who refuses the party line. This Sun falls in his fourth house of home and lineage, so his ego and story glow at the family hearth: the Irish Catholic father who was a news announcer, the Hungarian Jewish mother, a chapter of family he keeps returning to. His Moon is exalted in Taurus, the luminary at its healthiest and most grounded, an earthy loyalty that gives his convictions their stubborn steadiness. With Libra rising, the mask is the polished, diplomatic scale that weighs an argument and announces the winner.
