Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin, born on the twelfth of February, 1809, in England, gave humanity one of its truest and most unsettling gifts: the understanding that all living things descend, through natural selection, from a shared ancestor. He was the naturalist who neglected his medical studies to chase marine creatures, then sailed five years aboard HMS Beagle from 1831, returning with the fossils and observations that would slowly ripen into On the Origin of Species in 1859.

His Sun in Aquarius shines exactly as this sign is meant to: not on a solo throne but for the whole tribe of humanity, the scientific, futuristic mind that changes society. As Gaia says, without Aquarius we would still be in the Bronze Age. Set in the second house, that genius became a lasting foundation, a body of work as solid and enduring as gold.

His Moon in Capricorn, also in the second, is the stoic, patient, unspoiled psyche, the one who works quietly for decades and lets nothing be spoiled by haste. A Sagittarian Ascendant gave him the mask of the wandering Marco Polo naturalist, the philosopher-explorer. Visionary, disciplined, tireless: a chart that patiently rewrote the story of life itself.
