Friedrich Nietzsche

Friedrich Nietzsche turned philosophy into dynamite, and his chart carries the same charged contradictions. His Sun shines in Libra, the sign of the Scale, the one who weighs, judges, and sees two sides of every coin. Fittingly, this Sun fell in his eleventh house, the realm of the tribe and the collective, where a hero is born to lead groups yet refuses to share a throne. So it was: a genius who spoke to humanity while living, and dying, almost entirely alone. Born in 1844, he became the youngest ever chair of classical philology at Basel at just twenty-four, before ill health drove him to resign and pour himself into his most volcanic writing.
