Gisele Bündchen

Gisele Bündchen did not merely walk the runway; she changed the weather of an entire industry, credited with ending the heroin-chic era and bringing back the healthy, radiant, athletic body. Her Sun sits in Cancer, the father shining through the sign of the mother, so she is here to shine as a nurturer and protector, the big-hearted crab who guards something soft beneath the shell. Fittingly, this most maternal Sun falls in her seventh house of partnership, where the whole self lights up through the other person and one shines by uniting; Gisele has always been most herself in relation, a woman defined by her bonds and her fairness. Her Ascendant is Capricorn, the Saturn-ruled old-soul mask of the boss, disciplined, photogenic and enduring, the crocodile who waits and rises to the top of the ladder: she reigned for years as the highest-paid model alive, gracing more than twelve hundred covers. Her Moon burns in Scorpio, the emotional volcano, the phoenix that dies and is reborn, all-or-nothing depth beneath a composed surface. Seated in the tenth house, the throne of the chart, that Moon lived her feeling life in full public view, and turned it toward causes: environment, the Red Cross, the UN. Intensity, made luminous.
