Googoosh

Googoosh, born Faegheh Atashin in Tehran in 1950 to Azerbaijani parents, is a living pillar of Persian culture, a singer and actress whose career has run for more than six decades. That endurance is the signature of a Taurus Sun: the foundational bull, the Venusian connoisseur of beauty, voice and art, who builds something lasting and holds it through every storm. She shines through the five senses, and few voices have shaped a nation's ear so deeply. Her Sun in the second house makes her a genuine person of value, the rock whose worth outlasts every fashion, even as she set the fashions herself, the miniskirts and the "Googooshi" haircut a generation copied.

Her Sagittarius Moon is the restless soul of the wanderer and the philosopher, whose peace of mind lives in freedom, the open road and the wide world. Placed in the ninth house of foreign horizons, it explains a woman who has sung in nine languages and carried her art across continents. Her Pisces Ascendant is the most tender, dreamy, mystic mask, soulful and shifting.
