Gordon Ng

Gordon Ng Ching-hang, born on 9 September 1978, is a Hong Kong pro-democracy activist who came to the movement not through politics but through method. An Australian-educated finance man who worked in investment and hedge funds between 2009 and 2016, he was the quiet strategist behind the scenes: known on the LIHKG forum as Lee Bak Lou, he devised the "Say No to Primary Dodgers" petition and helped shape the very mechanics of the 2020 pro-democracy primaries. As the only nonpartisan among the Hong Kong 47, he refused to plead guilty, and in 2024 he was convicted of subversion.

His Sun shines in Virgo, my dears, the sign that shines not in the limelight but through work, service and a mind that gets every detail right; the analyst who masters a system out of principle, the one who wants to be examined and found sound. His Moon rests in Sagittarius, the born philosopher whose peace of mind lives in freedom, honesty and blunt conviction, the Moon that says the true thing regardless of cost. In his own words, "I fear, but I don't retreat." Virgo built the plan; Sagittarius gave him the nerve to stand behind it.
