Jon Bernthal

Jon Bernthal has built a career out of a quality Virgos know well: the refusal to phone it in. His Sun in Virgo is the Sun blended with Mercury, a vitality that shines not through easy limelight but through hard work, craft and total commitment to doing the job perfectly. It is the actor who studies, who researches, who masters the smallest detail, and you feel it in the coiled intensity he brings to Shane in The Walking Dead, to Frank Castle's Punisher, to the wounded, volcanic Michael in The Bear that earned him an Emmy nomination. A busy, useful Virgo is a happy one, and Bernthal keeps himself relentlessly, meticulously working.

Under that disciplined surface burns a Moon in Leo, one of the great actor's moons. Here the psyche is king and queen at once, mother and father in one, an expansive open heart that feels through performance and knows how to give an audience goosebumps. This is the fire that makes his intensity land emotionally rather than coldly.

An American actor born in 1976, he pairs the Virgo craftsman with the Leo heart: precision fused to blazing feeling.
