The State of Palestine

The State of Palestine was proclaimed on the 15th of November 1988 in Algiers, when Yasser Arafat read aloud a declaration penned by the poet Mahmoud Darwish, and the Palestinian National Council rose to its feet. Adopted 253 to 46, it named Jerusalem its capital and turned the PLO, for a time, into a government in exile with no ground yet under its feet. Its chart wears a Leo Ascendant, the regal mask of the lion, a presence that holds the torch and asks the world to turn and look, born to lead and to be seen.

The Sun shines in Scorpio, the sign of transformation, of the phoenix rising again from ashes, of survival through the deepest waters.
