Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was a mystic disguised as a businessman. His Sun shone in Pisces, the twelfth and wisest archetype, the old soul who sees the mirage and the dream behind the machine. It is fitting that a man who studied Zen in Kyoto and sought enlightenment in India would insist a computer be beautiful, intuitive, almost spiritual. That Piscean Sun sat in his sixth house of craft and daily work, so his visionary fire burned through relentless labour: the perfectionist for whom shining meant building, again and again.

His Moon lived in Aries in the seventh house, a masculine, Martian Moon that found peace only through action, drive and leadership, the warrior who would not wait. Placed among partnerships, that fiery psyche played out through his famous alliances and battles: with Wozniak, with the Apple board that ousted him in 1985, with the world he returned to conquer in 1997.

With Virgo rising, the maiden's exacting mask, he met life as the demanding critic obsessed with detail and elegance. From the Macintosh to Pixar's Toy Story to the iPhone, he married the dreamer and the perfectionist. He died in 2011, aged fifty-six.
