Tim Walz

Tim Walz carries the plain, forward-leaning energy of an Aries Sun, the pioneer-warrior at the front of the zodiac, the self-starter who gets on the saddle no matter what and leaves a lasting mark. It is one of the most exalted placements in astrology, a blend of Sun and Mars, and you can read it across his whole arc: the soldier who served twenty-four years in the Army National Guard, the football coach, the man who steps up and starts things. When he ran for Congress in 2006 he took on a six-term Republican incumbent and won, then held that rural southern Minnesota seat five more times before becoming the state's 41st governor. Aries does not back down. But his Aquarius Moon is where the mission lives, the selfless, collective psyche fused with the tribe, wired to the welfare of the many. This is the Moon of the social-studies teacher and the reformer, and it shows in the legislation of his second term: free school meals, free college tuition for low-income families, codified rights, gun background checks. Aquarius serves humanity, the whole classroom at once. In August 2024 that pairing carried him onto the national ticket as Kamala Harris's running mate.
