George Orwell

George Orwell, born Eric Arthur Blair on 25 June 1903 in Motihari, Bihar, embodies the essence of a deeply introspective and emotionally aware individual, with both his Sun and Moon nestled in the nurturing sign of Cancer. This alignment in his eighth house reveals a profound connection to the themes of transformation, intimacy, and shared resources, all of which permeate his literary work. His Scorpio Rising adds an intensity to his presence, suggesting a piercing insight into the human condition and a passion for exploring the darker aspects of society.

Orwell's path as an author, journalist, and critic was marked by a commitment to social justice and the opposition of totalitarianism. Notable works such as Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four resonate with the emotional depth and societal critique that his Cancerian nature demands, while also showcasing the transformative power of words. His experiences in the Spanish Civil War and his subsequent writings reflect the deep emotions inherent in his Cancer placements, as he sought to illuminate the struggles of the everyday person.

Orwell's legacy is further solidified by the lasting impact of his concepts, like "Big Brother" and "doublethink", which continue to shape political discourse today. His work invites us to reflect on our own humanity and the structures that govern our lives, an echo of his Scorpio ascendant's quest for truth and depth.
