Johnny Depp

There is a shapeshifter in Johnny Depp, and the chart tells you why. His Sun sits in Gemini, the sign of between, where Helios and Mercury walk as friendly brothers, so his vitality shines through disguise, mimicry and a restless love of many roles. He is always two persons in one, and he built a whole career from it: the pale scissored boy for Tim Burton, the tilting pirate Jack Sparrow, the eccentrics of Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands and Fear and Loathing. That Sun burns in the ninth house, the realm of the philosopher and the global citizen, which is why he was drawn again and again to the strange, the foreign and the mythic rather than the ordinary leading man.

His Moon lies in Capricorn in the fourth house, the Moon's own dark and tender ground, yet dropped into Saturn's cold soil. This is the child who grew up fast, stoic and unspoiled, carrying a mothering wound even while his emotional heart stays rooted in home. Libra rises over all of it, the Venus mask of symmetry and charm: a face people cannot help but notice. Beauty, versatility and a quiet old ache, held together in one restless man.
