Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci is perhaps the most complete human the world has produced, and his chart carries that same impossible breadth. His Sun shines in Taurus, the bull, the earthy Venusian pillar, and there you find the patient master craftsman who prizes beauty, the five senses and the slow perfection of made things. Born out of wedlock near the Tuscan town of Vinci, apprenticed in Florence to Verrocchio, he became painter, engineer, anatomist, botanist and inventor all at once, the Renaissance humanist ideal made flesh. That Taurus Sun falls in his fifth house, the very house of the Sun, the seat of creativity, romance and radiant self-expression: no wonder so much of his genius poured into art, into the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, the Vitruvian Man, works that still hold the world's gaze. His Moon in Pisces is the psychic, saint-like empath, the divine imagination that dreamed flying machines and armoured cars centuries early, catching downloads from the source. Placed in the third house of the hand and the written word, it filled thousands of mirror-script notebook pages. Rising in Sagittarius, the wandering philosopher, he met the world as an endless seeker who died, fittingly, in the service of a king in France.
