Micheal Mosley

Michael Mosley was the rare doctor who turned his own body into the laboratory, a British broadcaster and writer who spent decades making the science of the body feel like an adventure worth having. With his Sun in Aries, he carried the pioneer's fire, the self-starter who gets up on the saddle no matter what and leaves a lasting mark. Born in Calcutta in 1957 to a banker father, he trained first in philosophy and finance before turning to medicine at the Royal Free, then leapt again in 1985 into the BBC, where that Aries courage found its true field: he would try things on himself, swallowing tapeworms, fasting, testing his own brain for the markers of psychopathy, always first through the door.

His Moon sat in Sagittarius, the seat of comfort dressed in Jupiter's love of freedom and open horizons. This is the Moon of the teacher and the preacher, the mind the masses connect with, and Mosley became exactly that: an evangelist of intermittent fasting, low-carb living, and his radio series Just One Thing, each episode a small door to better health. He vanished on the Greek island of Symi in June 2024, an explorer to the last.
