Deepak Chopra

Deepak Chopra is one of those souls who arrives as a bridge, and the sky agrees with the life he built. His Sun shines in Libra, the Scale, that Venus-ruled sign where the hero learns to shine not through conquest but through harmony, symmetry and the seeking of balance in all things. Trained first as a physician in India, he emigrated to the United States in 1970, completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology, and rose to chief of staff at a New England hospital before turning, in the mid-1980s, toward meditation, Ayurveda and mind-body wellness. That Libran Sun falls in the eighth house, the Scorpionic realm of death, rebirth and transformation, the phoenix territory, and there it sits: a man forever illuminating what most of us bury, aging, illness, the body as energy. His Moon in Virgo, that careful, service-minded emotional nature, finds its peace of mind in being useful, in the meticulous work of teaching wellbeing to millions through books, videos and his Chopra Center. And rising in gentle Pisces, he meets the world wearing the mystic's mask, the compassionate healer, the dreamer who insists we must have something to believe in.
