Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe is the warrior of modern screen acting, a performer who inhabits generals, boxers, and kings with equal, bruising conviction. Born in New Zealand in 1964 and made an Australian by choice, he broke through in Romper Stomper, then drew the world's eye as the detective of L.A. Confidential and the whistleblower of The Insider. As the vengeful general Maximus in Gladiator he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, following it with the fragile genius of A Beautiful Mind, the sea captain of Master and Commander, and roles from Javert to Noah to Zeus. His Sun in Aries in the third house is the pioneer-warrior wielding voice and craft, the double leader who casts light and leaves a mark, forever getting back on the saddle no matter the blow; small wonder the roles are soldiers, fighters, and men who never back down. His Moon in Aquarius in the twelfth is the detached, mission-carrying psyche fused with the collective, the crazy-genius channel who dissolves into whatever character the story needs. Aquarius rises too, the black-sheep mask that refuses the ordinary. Add his stewardship of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, and the picture holds: a fierce, tribal, uncompromising heart.
